At SLA Medical, we offer Dermaplaning, a gentle and highly effective exfoliation treatment designed to deeply cleanse, smooth, and brighten the skin by removing fine vellus hair (peach fuzz) and dead skin cells. Using a specialised dermaplaning blade, this manual exfoliation technique reveals a fresh, glowing complexion and enhances the absorption of skincare products and the efficacy of other treatments.

    How long does it last?

The results of dermaplanning can last approximately 3–4 weeks, depending on your skin’s natural renewal cycle and hair regrowth. We recommend monthly sessions to maintain a smooth, radiant complexion and to support ongoing skin health.

    Is there any downtime ?

Dermal planning has minimal to no downtime. Immediately after treatment, some patients may experience slight redness or sensitivity, which typically subsides within a few hours. The skin is left smooth and refreshed without peeling or flaking, making this treatment suitable for all skin types, including sensitive skin, and for clients with busy lifestyles.

    SIDE EFFECTS & RISKS

Dermal planning is generally very safe and well tolerated by most skin types. Temporary and mild side effects may include:

    • Slight redness or sensitivity
    • Mild skin tightness or dryness immediately post-treatment

      Less common risks may include:

      • Minor irritation or breakouts (particularly in acne prone skin)
      • Small cuts or abrasions if performed improperly (our experienced staff minimise this risk)
