What is Filler Blind?

We are not talking about a complication from dermal fillers where a blood vessel becomes compromised, resulting in blindness. However, we are talking about an epidemic of psychological reasons and behaviours that have led our society to become normalised to the uptake and overuse of dermal fillers. Consequently, this has resulted patients’ F natural facial features, individual identity and the typical natural ratio of beauty no longer being present. “Filler blind” is also commonly referred to as “facial overfilled syndrome” in medical aesthetics.

What are the dangers of Filler Blind?

The most worrying effects of misusing and overusing dermal filler, is creating a culture of ‘overdone’ seem normal or acceptable and increasing risks surrounding mental health conditions like body dysmorphia. We will dissolve your dermal filler using hyaluronidase solution and redesign the SLA way!

This is completed over two sittings 7-14 days apart. You CANNOT apply new dermal filler before 14 days. You will be patch tested and your filler removed during stage 1 of the protocol and Stage 2 will allow you to be refilled.

SIDE EFFECTS & RISKS

All cosmetic procedures carry risks and side effects. Common temporary side effects usually lasting up to 3 days maximum, following your treatment with Botulinum Toxin are:

– Tenderness at the injection site
– Minor swelling at the injection site
– Bruising

Less frequent side effects are:

– Severe swelling
– Lumping and product migration
– Infection
– Allergic reaction
– Vascular occlusion
