At SLA Medical we use Hyaluronic Acid (HA) based fillers which are injected into the lip, to increase volume and size.

Hyaluronic acid fillers work by not only plumping the lip directly but also encouraging water retention within lips for a natural, plump and hydrated look. Lips are extremely important to respect natural anatomy and be creative rather than always opt for volume and projection.

How long does it last ?

We use dermal fillers that last 3-9 months depending on which density is chosen. We advise first time patients they may need to return from 2-3 months following their procedure to build volume and structure to the lip. Following that most patients return once every 4-6 months to maintain the results.

Is there any downtime ?

Downtime varies from person to person, however as a general rule you will experience swelling, redness and minor bruising. Majority of the inflammation will disappear around day 3 following your procedure. However, bruising may take a little longer to be completely gone. We do advise if you are sensitive to bruising and bleeding to take arnica tablets 5-7 days before the procedure to reduce your post procedure side effects and downtime.

THE SLA WAY TO beautiful lips

SLA experts have mastered the perfect injection technique to achieve natural yet striking lip enhancements!

We are passionate about enhancing not augmenting! SarahLouise created the SLA lip technique through years of experience working with challenging lip shapes, corrections and unideal aesthetic outcomes. We only use premium dermal fillers that are designed to be elastic, cohesive and dynamic with mouth movements. Our technique ensures we minimise every risk possible to prevent lip migration and the horrible “duck pout” appearance. We use smaller needle sizes, softer techniques and elastic fillers to reduce most downtime and also give the result immediately; rather than the dreaded swell.
